Ceinwen- “lovely/fair/blessed”

Born to a poor family, Ceinwen caught the attention of a king, whom she subsequently married and became pregnant by. However, a few months into her pregnancy, the king was killed in battle. Left a widow, the insecure Ceinwen was left on her own not only to birth her child, but also to rule the kingdom in the late king’s stead. Though she is resilient and genuinely cares for her people, she doubts herself, and has much growing to do.
